Bill Corso – Career & Background
Bill Corso is a world-renowned special effects artist who has worked on some of the most iconic films and television shows in recent history. From his early days as a makeup artist in the 1980s, Corso has built a reputation for creating groundbreaking, realistic makeup and prosthetic effects that have earned him numerous awards and accolades.
With a career spanning over three decades, Corso has worked with some of the biggest names in Hollywood and has contributed to the success of many blockbuster movies. Whether he is creating convincing zombie transformations or aging actors decades in a single day, Corso is known for his incredible attention to detail and dedication to his craft.
Corso, who was born in New Jersey, has been interested in makeup since the age of seven. Since beginning his career in 1986, he has worked on more than 70 films.
Bill’s childhood passion for drawing, movies, and monsters led him to attend the High School for the Visual Arts in Sarasota, Florida.
After moving to Los Angeles in 1985, Bill began working on feature films with renowned makeup artists such as Academy Award winners Ve Neil and Rick Baker.
Corso won an Academy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Makeup in 2005 for his work on A Series of Unfortunate Events, where he transformed Jim Carrey into the villainous Count Olaf.

Under Corso’s direction, the business creates a link between digital artists and the makeup and hairstylists who work in cinema and television, assisting in bringing the makeup and hairstyling industries into the future.
