Make-up artist Ve Neill was born in 1951 in Riverside, California, USA.
She has been nominated for and won more Academy Awards in the make-up category than any other woman. She has won three Academy Awards, tying her with Greg Cannom for the second most wins in the category, behind Rick Baker. Ve Neill has also been nominated for eight Academy Awards, making her the second most nominated in the category, behind Cannom and Baker. She has worked with Johnny Depp on seven films and frequently collaborates with Tim Burton, for whom she has won two Academy Awards for her work on Beetlejuice and Ed Wood.
In 2017, Neill took on the role of Director of Education at Cinema Makeup School in Los Angeles. Four years later, in 2021, she established her own school, Legends Makeup Academy, also located in Los Angeles.
