Sander Skarås Pedersen has a degree from Vågen high school and Fagskolen Oslo. Despite his young age, he has participated in over twohundred different large and small productions, He has experience from theater, film, music videos, concerts, exhibitions, haunted houses and escape rooms. Both as an actor and with the visual and technical parts. Sander works mainly in Rogaland in the southern part of Norway, often in Stavanger, Sandnes and Egersund.
He was special effects makeup artist on the feature film “The Badgers” (Grevlingene) as well as a special effects makeup assistant on the musical short “Morild” by the famous band Kvelertak. In addition he has worked as a makeup artist and delivered special effects for other short films and music videos.
Sander has an interest in theater, film, design, stage craft, technology and culture and is interested in details and how visual and technical means can help tell and convey stories. He has an eye for detail and that things are done properly and in a safe and in an environmentally friendly way if possible.
Sander has previously worked as both scenographer/set designer, makeup artist, special effects makeup artist, lighting designer, scareactor, prop maker, actor, exhibition designer, followspot operator, scenic painter, production assistant, game master for an escape room and technician in a number of different areas, including stage technician.
Sander also runs an online store where Norwegian customers can buy professional theater make-up, face paint, prosthetics, halloween makeup, drag makeup and SFX make-up. From well-known brands such as The Monster Makers, Skin Illustrator, Ben Nye, Tinsley Tranfers, Kryolan and Grimas Makeup. In the past, he has supplied make-up and equipment for special effects to both film productions, professional theaters and many cosplayers.
In addition to the online store, Sander is also the owner of the website Halloweensminke.no, which is a Norwegian site with lots of information and tips for Halloween makeup. As well as Markørsminke.no that focus on special effects makeup for simulation. Sander is also the owner of Sfxzone.
